    have we yet established what's so great about them?

    Didn't Firaxis say they had some special function, but wouldn't say what it was?

    Someone who has the game fill me in.

    Well, for one thing you don't need Rubber to get them, but thier stats aren't as cool as Infantry, but I assume you already know that.

      I don't have PTW yet. What are the rules with those guys? Are they colorless or what?

        They require no resources to build, so they are the last no-resource unit in the game. Also, you can upgrade warriors, swordsmen, and Medevial Infantry to them.

          So they don't have any real special function?

          That sucks, I was lead to believe they could do something special.

            I think its good that we will no longer be stuck with stacks of swordsmen in the modern age. Till now I have been using them as garrison forces to prevent conquered cities from culture flipping.
