Why does the rest of the world (Europe) have to wait an extra month for PTW?

It seems from these forums that there are as meany Europeans as Americans that play CIV.

          truer words were never spoken

Still, in this day and age it IS a shame IMO, that we have to wait 3 weeks longer!!!!!!!!!

All jokes aside, does anyone know a good reason why they would not release simultaneously?

I can think of language differences or having to meet certain regulations (you know how those Europeans hate genetically modified games ). Or maybe Civ3 needs to make its name big in USA so that sales will be bigger overseas.

But do these reasons apply? Can a

I blame germans. They need to have their games nationalized....

I hope they still patch the single player version.

I think it's not simultaneous for the same reason (most) movies are not simultaneous, something to do with EU inspecting every CD box for illegal foreigners.

Anyway, my CPU shop dude said 23 nov. He's been wrong before, but never wrong in a good way.

                          er... anyways...

                          EU! EU! EU! EU!

(damn that stupid frog and his USE idea!)

maybe it would sound better EURO! EURO! EURO! ? next on Donahue, you decide!

When will the idea of United States of Europe(new name suggested for EU, for those who don't know) be handled? Anyone know?

Sounds like a new case for the lawyers of Bush!

I prefer the United States of Britain or The British Empire.

Its funny with so many countries wanting to be self ruling that there is a push for a United Europe.

The Scottish Welsh and Irish all want independence from England, which is understandable 'cause we dont want them either.

Europe as a trade agreement among equals is great. But Europe as a trade subsidy for all of the poor countries (most of them with the new lot) is not so great if you are you are paying for them.

Personally, I think we do okay on our own anyway.
