European Box Art

Just having a quick browse through amazon.co.uk and noticed that they have added a new (since I last looked) PTW box pic.
This looks like one of those DVD box size covers I am not sure we ever found out if ptw was to get a normal sized box or a DVD size box, It doesn't bother me either way cos I generally bin them in anycase.
Anyway here (possibly) is the pic.


Its nice but is it worth the 3 extra weeks we have to wait for ptw, I dont think so

Damn it, I thought the combat in lan and hotseat multiplayer games was resolved by armwrestling. All those hours I put in at the gym wasted

Methinks Firaxis realized they had to make a more civilized box for the European market.

Notice: it's a box that shows the map of europe
For sure targetted to the european market, otherwise it would've had an north american map

One more notice: In the upper right corner the word "Civilisation" is written in its British version, while the game name remained in the American version.

That box looks great. The North American one is a joke.


That said, does it really make a difference once we get our grubby paws on the CD? Nope.

they spelt "civilisations" wrong on the top right.

i know it's a euro-fied version, but the name of the game is civiliZation, so suck it. :P

Just who is Firaxis marketing to here in the US? The Euro box is much better.

That's a good question. The US box just shows the aggression of MP games, but fails to show the 'total package' that is Civ.
