  • An idea that would be nice in PTW!

I hate the idea that the computer *probably* gets tons of techs by trading.

Could we have an option to disable technology trade?

Another nice option to have would be to disable strategy ressource trade.

To build an unit that require a certain ressource that you do not have, it would simply require an additional (expensive) price to build it.

This way there would be more benefits to war over ressources, since you can't just get them all by trading.

Oh and the AI's war strategy of sending all troops in one direction NEEDS to be fixed. The AI kept sending troops through my huge territory to capture this size 1 city and always signed peace halfway there, only to declare war and try to capture it again.

This was stupid because if that city wasn't there, they would have built an army of transports and battleships to attack the actual chinese continent instead...

Here is something else I would like to see:

The ability to "irrigate all" instead of "Improve all".

I like irrigating everything that is irrigatable... So why not make an option for it.

one thing ive thought about is having chains of irrigation projects, where only one square has access to fresh water but you can line up many workers at once so by the time the first square is ready in irrigation so is a few more in a line from that one ; a whole line being ready at once

We´ve got a City-Governor to manage our Cities.

What about a Worker-Manager to manage all Workers.

We should be able tell him, what improvements we like to be build or still better, what Improvements we like to be build on a certain Type of Terrain (for example: Plains: Irrigations, Railroads; Hills: Mine, Railroads; Grasslands: Mine. Roads......)

Maybe we would have every Type of Terrain listet with Checkboxes for every Improvement to build.

Or we could have just Pulldown-Menus:

Build on Plains ...(Checkbox1)... and ...(Checkbox2)...

Where Checkbox 1 contains: Irrigation, Mines, Forest, nothing

and Checkbox 2: Roads, Railroads, Nothing

with a worker manager, you should be able give it instructions along the lines of.....

all size X cities/all cities size >X/all cities size
That way you can have workers automatically get all your cities up to size 20 as fast as possible, and then change the terrain to maximize production.
          May reason keep you,

You can turn AI to AI trading down reall low but I don't thin that stops it, the ability to stop two AIs from trading would be nice.

I wouldn't want to disable tech and resourse trading but I like your idea that you can build units without the resource - they just maybe cost 4 times the normal price. Since it is true that with enough money you can smuggle in almost any materials. I'm sure you could bribe a couple oppressed workers at your enemy's iron mine to send some ore your way.
