  • Valuable conquered/taken over cities

Does anyone have information? Will they be more valuable than in "normal" Civ3. I hate the fact that ALL buildings are gone when conquering a city or - what is even more stupid - take over a city.
I really hope, FIRAXIS noticed that this was a lame element in the game.

It's not true that ALL improvements vanish. All improvements that produce culture vanish. But there is a good chance for the rest to remain intact.

The AI builds many more units and less improvements than the average human. So one reason why you might be capturing cities with no improvements is because the AI didn't have time to build any non-cultural improvements (aqueduct, harbor, marketplace, etc) yet. Have you ever conquered a large city in the Industrial Age? There are usually at least 5 improvements left.
