    sorry if this info is already easily accessable.

    what is the word on multiplayer ai players? can you fill those slots not used by human players with ai players? and more importantly, can you play a game with NO other human players and ALL ai players, so that you can play the new "turnless" or simultanious modes with only the computer?

      I think Firaxis said you can play against AI and Human players together..Not sure about just AI though.

        IIRC , you can. But the AI is not 'optimised' for these alternative styles.
        At least, something like that

          I think i read in an interview somewhere that multiplayer supports no computer opponents.

          Therefore you can not fill any remaining slots with computer opponents.

              It says that they haven't determined yet which MP modes will allow AI. It also implies that MP games will be limited to 8 players.

                What happens to a player if they disconnect and want to get back on, if no AIs are in the game? Would their civ be destroyed?

                  what?? it's in beta and they haven't figured it out yet??? you know what that means!

                  screw ptw, i'm not playing one on one games, and there's no reason why we cant play simultanious against the ai

                  i am so sick of firaxis' lack of major features. no hi-res etc. helloooo we care about these things!

                    seriously. i have to post again because i am sooo upset about this

                    notice how they wait to the last second to tell us when a MAJOR feature is lacking, such an example is right before civ3's release there was major hush hush about multiplayer. it was leaked that it wouldnt be ready till "spring of 2002", which we all know was wishfull thinking as well.

                    am i the only one that is losing all respect AND trust for this company??
