Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
From what I've heard, 16 will still be the max despite the addiotional civs coming with it. The game slows down enough at the moment with that many on a huge map in the modern age...
"Show me a man or a woman alone and I'll show you a saint. Give me two and they'll fall in love. Give me three and they'll invent the charming thing we call 'society'. Give me four and they'll build a pyramid. Give me five and they'll make one an outcast. Give me six and they'll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they'll reinvent warfare. Man may have been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of His opposite number, and is always trying to get back home." - Glen Bateman, The Stand (Stephen King)
Hmmm... 31 players? Might take a while in normal play, but in turnless more it could be cool (Many players will be killed within short time anyway (With 31 players, there's a great risk to start just next to a warmonger)
I was under the impression it was 32 including the player - is that right?
in addition, I just found out the hard way you can only add 3 civs with the editor the way it is now. I made way more around 24, but it caused the editor to crash...
There are supposedly 32 slots for civs, currently 17 are used (16 civs + Barbs). PTW had better have the capability for 24 playable civs in a normal game - XPs should give us something that the fans can't. Ghengis Farb and Sween32 can quite easily create new leaderheads, you only need to do a bit of resaech to get city and leader names. The only thing Firaxis could give us on this front would be increasing the number of civs in a game from 16 to 24. I'll be really pissed if it's still at 16.
