  • What will be recommended spec?

    ('')
Hi just wondering what the ideal spec for 'Play the world' would be.. I have a Celeron 533hz, 256Mb of ram and i experience major so down on large and and huge maps on Civ 3 at the moment(''). I imagine an upgrade will be needed to play PTW at an acceptable speed?

what do you mean by 'slow down'? Have you turned off all the automatic moves? I have a 750MHz PC with only 128MB RAM, and I don't find the slow down too bad.

Your computer should be fast enough, I think the reqs will be the same as Civ3's.

By the end of game on a large or huge map it takes about 5 minutes to get back to my turn ......
Any ideas what PTW will need spec wise or is it very similiar to Civ3?

My guess is that the requirements will be the same as Civ3's.

I guess requirements will be slightly lower.... in every patch... (and especially 1.29 I've experienced this). Maybe you run some utilities like Norton tools or something that slow things down? This tenda to be a problem under WinXP.
