  • Dinosaurs in Play The World?

There is a screenshot at Gamespot where a Dinosaur is depicted.Having in mind that the game begins at 4000Bc, at a time when these prehistorical reptiles had ceased to exist how exactly are they going to be implemented in the game?

Will there be a prehistorical scenario?Or will they be making their appearance in the normal game as well?
    If so how?

From what I've heard, it's just a unit set, so if you want to make a prehistoric scenario (or you want dinos in your normal game), you can use those...

Yes. (I assume Firaxis will make one, but there will be plenty available soon after release anyway)

No. (you can make them appear in it if you use the editor, of course.)

If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

Or you could unlock dino units after building the Jurassic Park wonder (which comes with the new Gene-Splicing advance in the Modern Era).

          Hmmm....

it's quiet clear that Firaxis used the bible to base civilization on, I mean, it's not a co-incident that history starts 4000 BC, is it?

Well, according to the bible, dinosaurs actually were around 4000 BC, thus there's nothing wrong with that.

you just focus too much on evolution, which is only one of the possibilities (I wonder if provost or one of those guys actually hang around here )

                      *Yawn*

I wish they would spend more time doing real units instead of wasting it doing 'dinosaurs'.

Why, the unit graphic is left over from Meier's failed Dino game, so it's not like it took any time.

I'm going to make dinos buildable with Genetics.

I love everything about dinosaurs and would love nothing more than to see brave Roman ceratopsians grinding barbarian scum into dust.

                              LOL

Talking about Romans, I hope Firaxis will add a lot of new Ancient Times units to help someone to create an Ancient World Scenario.
