Aditional points that I found interesting:
1. Rally points have been added, which means you can produce units and set a rally point to a certain location instead of a city.
2....the "stacking" of naval units, which allows units of different speeds to move together over long distance moves.
3. Concerning culture flipping - Morris added that fans tend to either love or hate this feature, so you'll be able to enable or disable it in the scenario editor.
Great article! Thanks for the heads-up Nostromo.____________________________

Being able to turn off cultural flips will be good for some scenarios. For a modded standard game, I'm hoping that Firaxis has also included the option to fine-tune flipping (e.g. higher supression strength for military units)."As far as general advice on mod-making: Go slow as far as adding new things to the game until you have the basic game all smoothed out ... Make sure the things you change are really imbalances and not just something that doesn't fit with your particular style of play." - WesW

You can already have stacked ground movement? That's news to me . . .
when you have a stack of, let's say 8 tanks, press 'j' and the 'goto' mouse cursor appears. If you select a target, all 8 tanks will move to that spot.Formerly known as "CyberShy"

this appears to be a whole new feature - its not just the ability to culture flip cities, which obviously is already there, but culture flip entire civs.
"As we continued looking at the editor, Morris touched on the ability to flip civs to your side via your civ's cultural status.... "If you're a major cultural power with a lot of libraries or wonders, things that generate a lot of cultures, next to a culturally weak civ, that civ might 'flip' to your side and defect."

My favorite part :
Morris talk about how far ahead of schedule the Play The World team is. They're taking the extra time not only to create an extra level of polish to the game"I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident

"I have never cut off my penis when I was upset over a girl." -- Dis

I couldn't help but laugh when I read Jeff Morris say there was a lot of fan interest in creating a dinosaur senerio. If there is so much interest then why haven't I heard anyone either here at poly or at CFC talk about it? Could it be that no one but Firaxis, who wants to bundle junk they already have, care about dinos?Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
