  • Auto-Rush?

I believe Civ3 needs an Auto-Rush-Build option. It would be great not having to check all cities each turn when going for some despotic conquest. It would Autorush as soon as the city stops growing.

don't think so. could you even imagine what would happen if you let the city gov rush whenever he feels it's ok?!?!?!?. No way!!
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

I dont believe many people would find this nesisary or useful........

But if you like harming your citizens, try playing a game called Alpha Centauri....The thought of nerve stapling citizens can make you tingle with joy

I wouldn't use this either. There's never a time where I would say, "Always rush when population reaches 6." Why would you so that?

why? if you don't want it to grow any further, just balance the food production, and build workers/settlers when necessary...

if it's useful or not depens on gaming style. i whip the hell out of my citizens as soon as i get a chance but it seems like nobody else does.

I don't want to deal with the unhappiness. Also, most of my size 6 cities are pretty productive, so it's not that big of a help.

I think having the governor always whip could be inefficient. I won't pop-rush unless I'm going to get the maximum amount of shields. If there's 5 shields to completion for a build, I'll just let it finish naturally. Your governor would use the whip for only 5 shields.

i mean, don't get me wrong, i rush a lot. but usually only once i get to republic or above, since i don't like losing population; why rush things in construction if the people can be used more productively elsewhere (i.e., infrastructure)?

but i can see reasoning. if you're next to water, sometimes you can't build those workers and settlers fast enough...
