  • Possible new unit flag for editor patch

    Hi guys,
I was just thinking that I would have to have an editor flag for units which specified a unit as being an "Urban Combat Specialist".
I could see such a flag as giving a unit one of the following capabilities:

    1) Unit gains a +1 to +3 bonus to both it's attack and defense strength whenever it attacks from an urban environment (ie. attacking a city or defending a city!) It may also get a similar penalty when it fights in open terrain.

    or...

    2) Unit negates, or significantly reduces, defense benefits gained by units defending a city, and doubles the city-based defense bonus if it's defending a city.
Anyway, Just a thought I had! I wonder how easy, or difficult, such a flag would be to implement? I'd be interested to hear what people think of this idea!

    Yours,
    The_Aussie_Lurker.

Sounds like a good idea to me, but I doubt that they will put it in Play the World.

I don't like that idea at all.

And your name sounds vulgar, btw. Aussie-Lurker.

You don't have to like my idea, Incan_Warrior, but their is no need to descend to making insulting comments about my forum Identity!
As it so happens, I took the name Aussie_lurker because a) I'm Australian and b) When I first came to this site, all I did was "Lurk" i.e I looked at other peoples posts, but NEVER posted anything myself! Though such a term is no longer appropriate, I just decided to stick with it! I think it's high time, however, that you caught up on the forum "lingo" Incan!

        The_Aussie_Lurker.

SMAC has something like this. Infantry units get a +25% bonus when attacking a base.
