  • What is the beta testing for?

Civ3:PTW? or an editor or something else?

    Help

i'm hoping it's for Multiplayer and Bug / Balance issues, and i'm hoping they pick me. I think my rantings in private emails to Firaxis would better the community as a whole, and i think poly could use a few weeks of me with a gag order

anyway, the news item said they wanted people with scenario editing skills, so i'm guessing they're testing the free editor.

All of the above, I hope. I assume that they need someone who already knows how to make mods, so that can test out the new features of the editor (and the Civ3 changes that go with it).

21 is so arbitrary, I'm sure 18 or over will work.

I don't think anyone under the age of 33 should be eligible. They already dumbed this series down for you youngsters. Time to add some complexity. Time for maturity.

See, JT, that's where you're wrong; they dummed down the game for the senile elders like yourself.
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

Come come now, my friend. If it weren't for us, there wouldn't be a gaming industry at all.
