Alright - there's not much else to say besides DON'T INSTALL THE US PATCH THINKING IT WILL WORK LIKE THE UK ONE!!! I'm an idiot for believing this was even remotely true.
I will make sure that a pleasant phone call occurs this morning and clears this issue immediately.

Guess who followed the link from civ3.com to the "international" patch, spent 40 minutes downloading it, installed it and discovered the awful truth and had to remove and reinstall civ3 and ptw to get it all working again.
Yes, it was me.

I have seen it. I will download the exe file this evening. I already have the US patch!
However a couple of my other PBEM games won't be ready to switch until the 10th so I would like to hold off until then if possible.Never give an AI an even break.Comment

It's far too late now but I really wish I had scored this game lower, much lower, when we set up the starts. The more I explore, the worse it gets.
