On reflection I am not so happy about swapping screenshots prior to having mapmaking as it is basically a way of exchanging maps without having the necessary tech.
What I would have liked to go with is no contact about the game until you have met the other player's civ in-game. Then email is allowed, including verbal descriptions of terrain, etc.
No screenshots until at least one of you has mapmaking. By that stage you will have writing and probably an embassy anyway. After that any communication is allowed without restriction.
The only limits that apply for the whole game are the teams and no tech trading except with your team mate.
It would be a bit of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted but I would be happy to overlook what has happened and apply what I have set out here from now.

I tell you that the information I received from Anatolia was minimal, so stopping the map trading at this point would give us a very small advantage (none from my point of view).
So I would be fine with stopping the tech swaps, today. I suppose a poll would be the best route.
After thinking about it, I think this is the best option. I agree with Cerberus, and agree to abide by these rules.

A joke, of course. It was so early in the game that we hardly had anything to show each other (like children playing doctor ha ha ha . . . . sorry). I would agree to not trade anything at all until it's possible in the game and, except maps and contacts, nothing with non-partners.Formerly known as Masuro.

I have just downloaded the UK PTW patch 1.21f,
all 10.4Mb of it. I don't really want to do a
dual install so before I install it I am
asking in all my PBEM's whether anyone is NOT
willing and able to move to 1.21.
If everyone is OK with 1.21 are we going to
