When we meet in game, can we trade maps and screenshots with non-teammates? That is the question, but in a way it has already been answered.
Anatolia and I have traded screenshots several turns ago. I looked at the rules and determined it is acceptable. My understand is that we cannot trade techs with non-teammates. All other trading and agreements are acceptable.
In any case, I want everyone to know. The only advantage is knowing where not to look.

If I had had the chance I would have voted no, but since its a done deal
Other possibilities will come up that have not been outlined in the rules. I think that we need to discuss these things before we do them. A big part of this experiment is trust that none of us will bend the rules. We're not playing against the puter and there will be differences of opinion. lmtoops and Anatolia see the rules one way, while I see them another. If it had not come up on this thread, those who traded screenshots with their potential enemies would have an advantage over those who hadnt. IMO thats wrong. We all have to use the same rules -whatever we as a group decide them to be.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

At the time, I thought nothing of it. The rules were clear on what was not allowed. I was not trying to gain an unfair advantage. When I met SpencerH, he questioned the practice and so I brought it to the group.
We need to set the rules in advance. Unless it's an extreme circumstance, we should be able to set rules in advance.
