So a 1.21 sav wasnt playable with 1.14?
I'm now tying to uninstall 1.21 with the disc -> Cant do it (of course).
Uninstall the patch with the add/remove programs ->OK
The splash still says v1.21 does anyone know if its actually 1.14?

Don't upgrade - I participate in some other games where some of the players can't upgrade. And it seems the versions of the saves are no compatibleComment

- Installed Civ3
- Patched Civ3 to 1.29f (not required for PtW, but I may still play plain Civ3)
- Installed PtW
- Patched PtW to 1.14f
- Copied the CIV3PTW folder in the Civilization III directory and named the copy CIV3PTW-1.14f
- Patched PtW to 1.21f and renamed the copy CIV3PTW-1.21f
Now I have a dual installation. I can rename one of the folders back to CIV3PTW to play that particular version.
In fact, I made it even more sophisticated, I checked both folders for differences and made zip files of the different files, unpacking them at need, but the method described above is the simplest and works.Comment

hmm that's weird.
Because I'm in several other pbem's and no one has had problem.
I'm not sure how many of them have the non- U.S. game though.Comment
