Spencer's game

I looking to set up an 8 player game on a regular map everyone and everything random. No whining if you dont get your favorite civ or if you start in the tundra with England on a pangea map. Think of the glory if you won under those conditions.

Maybe 4 human and 4 AI players (monarch ?) so that the turns will be quicker than with 8 human players.

I guess I should have said I'm looking for players who can normally play 1-2 turns/day but wont have a brain seizure if someone is occasionally slow.

That gives us 4 with delmar, I'll set it up when I get home around 1630 poly time with 4 AI civs and we can get started.

Only 4 humans. I think even 2 turns/day is possible if we arrange the turn order cleverly, taking the time zones into consideration. My suggestion is:

1. Eli
2. jschelr
3. Spencer
4. delmar

This way we can minimize the idle time. This way, in theory, everyone could play 1 turn in the morning and 1 turn in the evening (relative to his own local time), I believe.

This order will be better, since Spencer is the one who starts the game, but the timezone order remains.

Good planning on order can really speed things up.

You're tough. I start work at 5.45am to monitor overnight trading in European markets. If I play a turn before going in I can promise you it will look even dumber than the AI's play.

I also go home early and can get the game quickly away to others for use before dinner in US hours, if that helps.

It was just an idea, not a rule. I won't attack you if you play only 1 turn a day.
