3 doesn't sound right. If that were the case my city should have rioted when my city reached size 3.

I just ran a test. Small world accel production Regent level. Same as our game. It was single player though. That shouldn't make a difference.

Anyways I was the celts. My unguarded city rioted at size 5. With no temples or no happiness specials. I was connected to a wheat resource but that was it.

I have one luxury, so it should keep it from rioting on size 3. But the city is supposed to grow to 4 during this turn, so it will definetely riot!

No Eli. It does not riot on the turn it grows. You have 1 turn to catch it.

Yes he is correct on that. It rioted the turn after I got to 5.

And no my game is out of the box.

We are only playin Regent after all. 5 makes more sense. It would be 4 for Monarch. 3 for Emperor, and 2 for Diety.
