Are you sure you placed them in the PTW save directory and not the Civ3 save or the Conquests save directories?
To make sure that you have the right directory, just start-up a single player PTW game and save it after the first turn. Then when your copying over the PBEM PTW saves, you should see your single-player save already in the saved directory. This will indicate that you are placing the save files in the proper directory.
I'm not sure if you've tried this yet, but it couldn't hurt...

Hello all.
First, excuse me for the delay. My mother and my sister have been ill, I have had to care them both all the week.
And I have now another problem: I can't open the .sav. It says it might be corrupt, but I am sure it has more to do with the Conquest expansion, which I don't have yet.
I don't know when would I buy it, so to not stop the game longer, I propose that Kermit retires me from the game. Otherwise, the game would be stopped for several days, yet. I'll PM him my password now.
