  • Where Is Everyone?

Most of the PBEM games I'm involved in are going so slowly. I had five days off last week and I thought I'd get lots of turns played but I only received about four or five saves out of six games. Is everyone busy this time of year? Is everyone sick of PBEM?

I think it probably just has to do with summertime and people traveling alot. Of course, when I travel, I take my PTW CD and patches/email addresses with me - but not everyone does this.

Depends on where you're going I guess. I took a computer with me this weekend when I stayed at my mothers place(her computer is so old that it barely plays civ2) but I will under no circumstances take a computer with me on my honeymoon which starts next week.(1 it's too heavy. 2 My coming wife would behead me )

To keep the other from waiting two weeks for my return I asked someone else to play the game for me while I am gone. Everyone should do this if they know they will be gone for some time.

Bongo is an interesting name. It's a kind of animal, right? There's a pick-up truck called Bongo here in Korea. They're all white or blue -- no other colours. I wonder what the reason is?

        Maybe this belongs in Off-Topic

Anyway, I hope people come back from holidays or honeymoons (congratulations, by the way) soon. I'm rearing to play!

Bongo was a character in my favourite radio-show 10-15 years ago. I started using it as the 'king-name' when I played the zulus in the original civ. It made a fine nick-name when I found poly on the net.
