  • Well, I sobered up but it still doesn't look any better.

        • I'm back and ready to start the new game. Ghengis, please explain the treasure you mentioned.

          • You can build city improvements in cities which have Gold, Silver, or Gems in their city radii. These improvements periodically spawn Treasure units which have to be picked up by your normal units and hauled to your capital where they instantly give you 200 gold.

            • Should we vote on that feature? I don't mind it but I don't think it will add anything great to the game since gold already generates a lot of revenue. Is there silver in the game? I haven't seen that yet. Is it on one of the scenarios?

              • I have no fundamental objection to including treasure in the game but it complicates the map somewhat.

If you mean treasure as in the AoD Conquest then the resource needed should be some way from the capital, prefereably on a different landmass. That rules out a pangaea unless the treasure resource is on offshore islands.

It is possible but seems unnecessarily complicated.

                  • It adds the strategic element of Treasure which may be produced near your capital or far away, but you have to haul it to your capital in order to use it to rush things.

The key is it adds the element of transporting and protecting the transport of the Treasure, which can be captured by other players and hauled to their capitals if you aren't careful.

So if we play a new game with treasure included what resource would it be based on or if it isn't how do you stop someone just building the treasure producing improvement/small wonder in their capital?

                          • If we have treasure we'll have to get someone to set up the map for us. Pangaea with some treasure islands. (Arrrr, Jim lad . . . . .)

                            • It happens. In the Creation Forum I have a "Bank Your Booty" scenario that simply adds the mines from the AoD game. Download and try it out. The treasure resources are randomly placed just like the other resources. Or we could have someone make a map with the treasure on a different continent.
