So what did Spencer actually do? Did he retire, if so what happens to his cities, do they all just appear as ruins?

I'm sure we started with 6 and one didn't last long at all, I was quite disturbed to come across ruins, anyone remember?

yeah, miccofl has left shortly after I replaced Shamus. I've asked him why and he answered:

As head of CGN's Inter Forum Demo Team (Netatolia) I just didn't have the time or bandwidth for the game. With the time lost to disapearing players in that game I thought it best that I resign rather than hold the game up again looking for another player.

And the problem with the picture is solved - its extension had to be jpg, not JPG (stupid paint).

Ahh, does that mean that he wasn't slaughtered early on in the game, he actually resigned? After finding the ruins I thought there was some bloodthirsty Civ roaming the planet.
