I never denied attacking him.....that I did, of course. I was just trying to explain my motivation for that act.

The truth is far from irrelevant. The truth is what I spoke. It's just that we all see different elements of the truth from our own point of view. I chose to highlight certain of the facts to explain my actions. Gramps in his wisdom has chosen not to respond directly to my accusation, and instead has waxed lyrical about me attacking him without seeking to understand the underlying reason for my aggression, which was essentially a response to his own territorial aggression....unchecked expansion without prior consultation and entering into border discussions can lead to disaster
