Where do we badger each other about settlers and cetera? It seems that there have been some close encounters.

Ooops. I think that I need to reread the rules. It HAS been a long time since the start for this Bear!

There is ice on the ground and the wife is working for another 1.5 hours and will not answer her cell phone - the idea seems to be that she uses it to call out but is under no personal obligation to leave it on so that worried husbands can call in - so I am worried about her getting home in the ice with a rear wheel drive vehicle. Sigh. It is tough being an engineer married to an English major. Of course, I was an anthropologist first, so I must be a confused cross-brainer by now!

What do you folks think about me being the resident chronicler for the CivIV demo? I want to change my name to "Croaker" (OK, one of my all time favs is the Black Company set of novels), and tell a good story!

Speak up for me if you like the idea!!

"Resident Chronicler," means that I would be the designated writer-up of things happening in the game.

Stories about surprise attacks, sieges, statues that look like litter piles... the usual.

Secondly, I think the idea of a chronicler is a great idea. I gather this means you will not be joing Sarantium. I was not sure where you stood.

And GT, you should not be blackballed for doing what your heart told you was the correct thing to do. There must be lots of places that would be pleased to take you for any demo team. Solid people are always welcome in the bear cave.

I dont know if Ill play anymore demo games for this and a few other reasons

but I do love playing PBEM and succession games as well as writing

this weekend I got me Dragon Naturally Speaking 8
