I am Masuro, king of the Persian empire, owner of the riches of the Orient. I wish for peace between the East and the West. Unless the Macedonians and other Occidental powers have other ideas, of course . . . .

Masuro of the Persians has sent ambassadors to all nations requesting trade and the exchange of ideas and technologies. No nation has yet refused our very generous offers. Rome, do you have anything to offer us?

Indeed you have sent a great offer, and in return Rome sends unto you peace and a vaste treasure of gold.

It wasn't that vast but we'll take it in the interests of peace.

The Carthaginians have introduced us to the unwashed people living to the north of Rome. Be careful, they look untrustworthy. And they do not know generosity when trading. They do, however, make a very nice drink called whisky.

The world is a funny place

The people of the elephant are so peaceful

yet the egyptians seem to be quite the warmongers - amazing

they brought along a group of spearmen from the great dark south

                  very hardened warriors they be

The Egyptians are very good friends of mine. Have they been bothering you? Perhaps I am wrong about them.

Let us share our knowledge of the world. I have met an interesting people called the Scythians who roam the steppes on their horses and have no large cities. They look to be formidable warriors (in actual history, the Persians invaded Scythian lands but had to eventually give up because they got tired of chasing them around the steppes). I have a map showing their location. Care to make an exchange?

hahaha, what concerns me is I can not tell if they are empty or loaded...

loaded I could have quite a crisis if they decide that Roman lands should now be Greek...

ahh well I am sure to findout soon enough
