I botched an operation to capture a lone Japanese artillery piece and lost two units.
On the other hand, I captured Hong Kong. I will hold it for you until you can get troops up to secure it.
Japanese troops are starting to stream down from the north and they still have a number of units in my territory. They have gotten a wicked lot of bombers from somewhere and are blowing up rail and road faster than I can put it down.

More of the same. I'm trying to weed out their units on my lands and they keep bombing the hell out of me.

I will have armour tactics next turn

Sounds like you'll have all of Vietnam liberated in no time.

I mopped up a few units and I'm waiting to build some better units before moving north.

              Lost another bomber somewhere.

I sent you armour tactics and I'm now researching jet engines.

                  Forgot. Oops.

Kiungchow taken by my brave lads. Next stop - Nanking, the southern capital. Lost my first fighter-bomber on its maiden flight. So sad.

A Dutch submarine sank a Japanese transport outside Hong Kong. Sadly, the sub was destroyed by a battleship escorting the transport. Let's have a moment of silence for those brave sailors who probably saved the lives of many Chinese soldiers.

                          Operation Hanoi is underway
13 artillary pieces are bombatding the town, and several fighter bomber sqds are working around the clock

The fleet is now out side Saigon, which is in our control, and will take on a Anzac Infantry Unit for each of the 9 destroyers in the fleet.

The Singapore port are working hard on the first fleet aircraft carrier, this will be a welcome addition to the fleet. Along with two recently arrived transports, each carrying 4 tank regiments. the fleet should have a good hitting capacity for an attack on Formosa soon.

Meanwhile the Destroyer Maxwell sustained heavy damage while patrolling waters north of Rabaul. Along with the recent of our submarine SS Taggart, I have decided to upgrade the garrisons throughout this region.

Nanking has been recaptured from the Japanese. Once you take Hanoi I can free up troops from the south for the push into the north.
The Japanese are sending a few units into my territory but I think they are running out of steam. I haven't been bombed in a while.

                              Excellent news

                              Operation Hanoi continues.
Artillary has caused massive damage to the Jappa, and my few tanks have rushed ahead of the infantry to press home the attack. Hanoi could fall next turn

I have moved a series of tanks towards PNG, in case Jappa is heading into the Coral Sea.

Once Hanoi falls, I will rest my lads, for some healing and regrouping, then would be interested in bringing some up north

I noticed your large fleet near Hanoi.
I've moved most of my troops to prepare for the northern offensive. The Japanese keep drawing off my resources by sending one or two units into my territory. I can't ignore them so I have to bomb them and then send a unit or two to take care of them. They sometimes crawl into my fortresses and it's hard to take them out. Buggers.
                                Otherwise, things are going well.
I sadly have no ships to patrol the seas. The few ships I could produce in this short game wouldn't stand a chance against the Japanese fleet anyway.
