Shall we find another third to join us?? There is a new chap in Babylon - Golden Bear - who I think is looking for pbems. He is relatively new to the forum and pbem - but knows civ. Being new he does not have a lot of other competing games.

And I gather the idea was OK. Sort a sailors vs farmers theme.

I just want some sort of continuity..as I understand that we all have lives just would not care for a turn every month sort of game

I have asked Golden Bear to check in here if interested.

The map will be regular/large pangaea - probably the middle water setting. Maybe the stringy one.

I have flipped a coin to see who gets civ choice between Gt and GB. GT won. The Bear will pick second - if he is playing.

The three civs to choose from are:

Byzantines
English
Portuguese

The 5 AI civs will be Aztecs. Incas, Mayans, Iroquois, and Sumerians - (not the Celts).

No culturally linked start to mix it up.

I was thinking Emperor - but am Ok with Monarch as well. We have handicapped ourselves with our civ choices - so we might want to do Monarch. You guys make the call.
