      I'll play my turn tonight.

No, I usually don't visit civfanatics....however, I wonder if Apolyton is slow and late on the cIV coverage. I visit the cIV Forum on a regular basis. There's a thread there which points to about 16 new screen shots.

So far I'm a bit mixed...I'll have to wait to see the final product.

i'm also mixed but are feeling positive.

i hope you can vary the graphics for the same thing - several different kinds of trading posts for example, so that your world map doesn't look too repetitive.

don't like the roads much, some seem to go nowhere

i like the sound of the religion concept

very concerned about combat, hope you don't need to produce buckets of units like Civ3. like the look of special abilities - more strategy

hoping that in multiplay you can play the same game pbem or online as you want

The cities don't stand out much below the units, by the look of it the only way to recognise a city is by its name tag.

I do like this interface although the colour of the civs is a bit similar.

Hey on the note of 'new' games i see shoguns been dabbling in CTP2, has anybody got their hands on that new AOM mod?

I'm thinking og getting it as its only a few quid for a new game to tide me over till cIV

Yes, I do like ctp2, but I haven't played it as much due to time constraints. I seem to only have time to play my Civ3 PBEM and post nonsensical comments on Poly

Is that AOM mod on our site somewhere. Obviously, I'm so lazy that I'll type that question instead of clicking and looking

                      • I used to play CtP2, but found it too buggy and too easy. I never really gave the Cradle a go, but did the apolyton mod. The AoM mod looks great, i'm sure apolyton would host it even though it's a massive file.

I tried a game of CtP2 a while back and decided it was too much for me to put up with the graphics and now unfamiliar user interface.

I also have next to zero time these days. I can manage 20 minutes here and there (keep those PBEMs ticking over!), but not hours and hours.

When cIV comes out I may take a few days off and lock myself away!

I saw that E3 video, looks pretty amazing! Still concerned about combat. I hope they make it harder to construct units so that the ones you have (who are being promoted etc), actually mean something to you.
