          • Dear Elisabeth of the English

Although you national colours are still ruining the look of this continent, the leaders of the Carthaginians are coming to realise that there is more to life than just fashion. Therefore, we are offering you a ceasefire and, if you wish, a peace treaty. Do you accept our generous offer?

Please tell me if the lads in York fought bravely before being slaughtered by your Vikings . . . .

                      • The Dutch leaders realised war is setting them behind.

                        Ready for peace yet?

Good move taking flak with your stacks, by the way. You saved your armies from bombing last turn.

                          • The Carthaginians offer peace to the English and Scandinavians. Carthage will return Hastings and York to the English and pay 10 gold per turn to each nation once Carthage has once again returned to a democratic government.
