    as in ....

    Yowzer!

    Great start Paddy.

Sorry guys. I was away for the weekend - and got back last evening. I had a pile of saves to work through - and when I got to this one - I realized it was not a 5 minute affair, as is the case with many early games.

Playing now - well - studying it actually - and will forward it on shortly.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

      Lock'n load, gentlemen.

      Save to Paddy.

(This reminds me of one of those old jokes - How many elephants can you fit into a VW Beetle?)

I wonder what an armor-piecing tank round would do to an elephant.....

Recieved several hours ago. Won't be playing until later so I thought this was an appropriate moment to post some 'nice' pics

As some of you already know, I work in an IT-department. One of the benefits is unlimited access to faulty computer equipment. Normally we just destroy/throw away old and failed HDs but this time I seized some of them for a morning of clean mindless fun

The following pics show what a harddisk looks like after I put 15 rounds of .22LR ammunition into it.

The first pic is of my desk after I dismantled the HD...lots of little pieces...

The top cover, from the outside. Note how the cover actually stopped many bullets

The top cover, the inside this time.

Note how one of the bumps were made from the inside out after I shot at the 'back' of the drive.

The bottom of the disk. I removed the circutry after the shooting. Only shot 5 rounds from this side, my favourite is clearly the one that destroyed the 'warranty void if label removed' label

Much of the grey stuff is lead residue from the bullets that hit the engine housing, which appearantly is the toughest spot on the drive.

At last the platter and engine. No need to worry about head crashes anymore

At last, a close up of the platter and 3 impacts. The right ones suffered direct hits as the top cover ruptured when the bullets hit close to the engine. The left crater was never touched by lead, but the cover stretched upon impact and damaged the platter nonetheless.

ouch - Beta seems to have fallen out of his cockpit...

                              hope he has a parachute

I did have a parachute. Took a few days for Search and Rescue to find me. But I am strapped in and flying again.
