Here's the scoop. This game is for 7 players - myself and 6 others. Standard size map. Emperor setting. Restless barbs. Climate and age normal.

    Geography ..... random.

And you have to pick one of the civs with science as one of their traits. In other words - one of Babylonians, Germans, Greeks, Koreans, Ottomans, Persians, Russians, Byzantines, or Sumerians.

    Players and Play order:

    Beta GMT-5 ....Sumerians
    burly GMT-5 ...Germans
    Paddy the Scot GMT+9 ...Greeks
    Aqualung71 GMT+7 ...Babylonians
    Zord GMT+1 ...Persians
    ChrisiusMaximus GMT+1 ...Byzantines
    Vovan GMT-5 ...Ottomans

I'm in for Babylon, and make sure culture flips are on so I've got a chance

Ok - that's seven - game closed. Welcome all!

And I will take ...hmmm... Koreans, Sumerians, or Russians. Hmmm - looks like the Sumerians or Koreans. And the winner is ..... the Sumerians. Tough choice actually. The UU's vs the other traits. Agriculture wins out. But the Koreans are an interesting civ. Hmmm...

Sumerians it is - and that's my final decision.

Please post preferred play times - and we can try and arrange the best play order.

I am GMT-5, (est) and I play pbem's both in the morning and the evening.

So what was your other choice Burly?

Welcome btw. We have not been in a game together as of yet.

I almost took Sumerians, but thought Babylon would be tougher....must be a masochist!

My first choice was the Koreans, but I'm not too fond of their UU. I'm also GMT -5 (EST) and I play at night (6PM to 2AM), and often in the morning before work (~8AM, at least until the turns get longer).

Thanks for the welcome Beta. This will only be my 5th PBEM. The first 2 stopped unceremoniously and the second 2 have just begun.

Speaking of failed PBEM's, what happend Zord?
