1870BC to the beleagured French/Japanese

The french resent the implications and direct out-and-out lies of the mongols. The french workers in question were in neutral territory when captured (or it was neutral on my turn, anyhow), and no warning was ever issued.

The French issue a formal statement condemning the brutal capture of French citizens performing peaceful duties - there were no military units in or near the area, no units any closer indeed than our own city - and in fact were establishing a trade route by which we hoped to trade with the Mongols.

Obviously the Mongols have shown their true colors.

The French will call off this war, and also ask the Japanese to back off of their planned assault, if the rest of their workers are returned to them unharmed, and no units or cities are damaged or taken.

China states its intention to remain neutral in this surprise conflagration, and advises both parties to seek terms or suffer the consequences.

The French remind the Chinese who the aggressors are here, and have stated that they are happy to return to the status quo antebellum if the Mongols are willing to do so as well (returning kidnapped workers).

We find it amusing that the French would demand the return of their captured workers without mention of the Mongolian workers that *you* keep against their will... I think you underestimate the rest of the world if you think you can fool them with your half-truths.

Regardless... Mongolian soldiers have reclaimed what is rightfully ours and we might now consider offers for peace.

Fear not, the Zulu have no desire to violate Portugese borders... those Impi are simply trying to navigate their way out of the thick and disorienting jungle you call home.

The French took Mongolian workers only after the inital Mongolian atrocities, as a retaliation. Other than these workers, the French had nothing that was "rightfully Mongolian" and any cities or workers taken by the Mongolians simply prove the barbarian nature of the Mongolian nation.

The French demand an immediate return of all captured cities and workers, and thereafter will return any captured Mongolians, and will acknowledge peace. Otherwise you have declared war on not one but two nations, and expect dual French and Japanese invasion forces shortly.
