Crap... Just realized I didn't get a PW from Snotty. I just used a PW generator to create one with him. I PMed it to him.

    Game sent to Shogun Gunner.

I'm not sure what to make of this, but I think there is something wrong with the game. I founded my first city, but was unable to build any units. I only had two city improvements and wealth to choose from.

Octavian X, can you take another look at the file?

Yes, I did. The problem was identified, and I'm re-creating the game.

Also, I did make one major change to balance everything out - The Statue of Zeus now required GEMS to build. The reasoning is simple - on each starting isle, there is a source of gems - everyone has one. It's the only fair way to go about building this powerful wonder.

Hmm - interesting. Thanks Oct. Makes sense.

Personally, I am not a fan of Zeus or Knight's Templar, for reasons of play balance. I can't think of any other game element - with maybe the exception of the pyramids, which can upset the balance of power as significantly as these - and in particular Zeus as it is earlier in the game.

Too bad there is not an initial screen option to disable certain wonders.

In this game in particular, neither Zeus nor Knights Templar will unbalance anything, I believe. Since everyone's on his own island, your not going to be able to use Ancient Cavs or Crusaders very well, since you'd have to transport them to other islands.

And, sent again to Shogun Gunner.

Oct - agreed. I guess I was thinking more of a continents/pangaea map.
