Hi there,
I´m looking for players who meet the following characteristics:
ability to speak and understand English (you would be surprised ;-)
have a lower ping than 200 (preferably 150 or less) when pinging www.uni-duesseldorf.de
are ready to play twice a month for approximately six hours each on weekends, saturday or sunday afternoon Greenwich time
neither newbie nor civ-god (equals to prince level, more or less ;-)
use some kind of instant messaging (preferably ICQ)
can use microphone for voice connection (makes lots of things easier, not a neccessity, but a big plus)
want to play with seven other players on a well sized world map
like playing per simultaneous moves
are patched up to date and don´t use a firewall/know what ports are and what they are for ;-)
...everything else is to the groups liking :-)
If you think you would like to enjoy playing with sincere players, contact me per ICQ (44199963), as I don´t login here too often. You don´t have to install ICQ, btw, take a look at their site. You could also try to find me on the net, it´s not too difficult ;-)
There are already two other players in my dorm, so no lags from them to expect.
I try to find players this way as waiting in the lounge didn´t really pay off. Too many ******* players, too many low pings...
