  • I'm building a multiplayer map.

So I have been playing with the editor for the last few nights and I decided to build a multiplier death match map.

Using the "perfect city placement" algorithm other players on this forum have figured out with only two overlapping squares......

I laid down the center city on each continent with 6 cities in the first ring and then filled in the outer second ring the same way.

I made 8 continents the perfect size for each to have the center city with two rings around it.

I put every city on a hill with gold. and added in three hills with gold in every cities build radius.

I added two iron, two coal, two aluminum, and two saltpeter to continent.

I gave an even spread of luxuries to each continent.

I gave an even spread of land types to each continent.

Each continent is identical to the other and they are spaced evenly on a large map.

I placed 4 single tile uranium tiles spaced in the center with each tile surrounded by water. This means, if you want to nuke someone, you will have to hold a low production city in the center of the map to get your uranium.

I'm going to try it out against the A/I as soon as i'm finished with it and if it works ill upload it to the forum. I should be finished with it this weekend.

It should make for a very high production, fast growing, heavy combat map.

I'm almost done now. I made some changes to the design though. I decided to only let each continent have two lux types. That way if you want to get all of them you need to trade. I still have each continent getting all the resources so you will be able to compete. If I split up the resources all you would need to do is wait for the call from the guy that didnt get iron asking for a trade, then you invade with swordsmen.
