How do you have more than one human opponents?

Well I am a bit new myself but I got only one question
Can and how do you have a more than one Human opponents a;;

If you have vanilla Civ3 (without either the Play the World or Conquests expansions) you can't.

If you do have one of them, click on Multiplayer in the main menu. You can play Hotseat (all humans take turns on the computer taking their turns), Play by E-mail (you e-mail a save around), and LAN and Internet methods of playing with players on other comps at the same time.
