  • In RL situations, I see some merit in overt efforts to get people to lighten up- in an online gaming community:

Depending on how it would affect surrounding players in the game, at this point you might want to consider having me retire the Sumerians rather than delaying further to find a replacement...

    • BTW- please don't encourge such behavior in the mods- we're trying to keep standards around here...

      • I'm fine with terminating Sumeria.

        • We're never going to find a replacement now that Civ 4 is out so I vote for deleting Sumeria.

          • I agree with Andydog and Masuro. At this point it probably is better to retire them, maybe not thrilled, but better to do so.

Sorry for the delay folks; I have been heavily involved in the C3C demo game issue - unfortunately, and then at conference this wekkend.

I suspect it may be difficult to get somebody to fill in. Rommel - you are probably in the best situation to determine if just axing the civ would be OK. I trust your judgement on this.

Oh but wait just a minute. Tell me if Sumeria has a better starting position than me, and if yes, I'll take over Sumeria and you can axe my civ.

              • Ok, I've checked the game and Sumeria has a desert/jungle start without any freshwater. I'll retire the Aztecs and give Beta the Sumerians.

MFC, just send the save to me next time and I'll take care of it.

                    • Suddenly a somber mood came over the Endiku warriors. It was the midst of their Golden Age- they convened for discussion, decided it just wasn't worth it, and toppled all the pillars of their great buildings until the entirety of their works became nothing more than a collective tombstone...

Rom - something seems amiss. The save you sent has the Japanese next up to play.

Ah - I think it should go to Andydog. Forwarding.
