from the Tournament Laws:

13) All players are allowed a total of 2 weeks worth of time for the preliminary round to miss their turn without having it played for them. Advance warning must be given to the moderator.

Once all 2 weeks of time are used up, I will play the turn for the player after 36 hours...

Chaps, I've had another look and I'm seriously calling a re-start.

I think a tournament like this most definitely needs even starts so that we all have an equal chance to prove our skills. Even Friaxis has acknowledged the poor RNG of starting positions.

Being stuck in mostly tundra is just not cricket. Rommel, further to my PM of Wednesday, please re-consider!

Why do you say that? They were allowed in the first iron civer.

Were they? Still, to me a bad start is part of the challenge. But I don't oppose a restart if anyone feels strongly about it.

well, I don't feel strongly enough about it to create a bad vibe. I'd rather Rommel, who I know to have good judgement, make his own mind up about this one.

Whatever he may decide, I'll play, enjoy, and give it my best shot.
