Out of curiosity, as I have recently picked up PtW and C3C again, as well as we kicked off CivIRC, I was wondering where are most of you looking for multiplaying company? GameSpy? IM buddies? Or some specific thread here on the forums? I haven't previously had to look for people to play with, as a Civ III MP beginner, so asking where to look. 
Also doing this of general interest because of CivIRC, as we're very interested in developing a good place for matchmaking with other interested gamers.
When you look for MP company, where do you primarily find it? As a beginner, where's the best place to start? What if there would be a targeted IRC channel (or several) for finding other MP interested Civ III players in realtime, with no need to use GameSpy or start digging up your IM buddy list, would you be interested?
