Rommel, I could play a one a day PBEM, but as I can't play any morning slots, this PBEM is out.

I'm not worried about the slots anymore- the pool of slot players seems to have evaporated. I'd just like a few players who won't be going anywhere over the next few weeks. One-a-day would be fine, but a few noonishCST/eveningGMT play sessions would be very nice.

I'd like to try out the mods from the Iron Civer scenario I'm considering:
          (v1.0)
1> SGLs will be turned off. Copernicus’ Observatory is a Scientific Wonder.
2> Basic barbarians are archers. Advanced barbarians are Mounted Warriors.
3> Democracy has free unit support equal to that of the Republic (1/3/4). Corruption for Feudalism reduced to minimal. Secret Police HQ are available to Fascism insead of Communism.
4> Artillery, Radar Artillery, Tank, Mechanized Infantry, Modern Armor, and Panzer have wheeled property.
5> Ivory is a strategic resource, with appearance ratio of 160 (the same as Iron and Horses), disappearance ratio of 400 (same as alluminum). Tobacco is a luxury resource.
6> Colosseums can be a Tourist Attraction.
7> Espionage is an optional Ancient Era tech requiring only Writing, with a 30 base cost. 'Cursus Publicus' is a new small wonder identical in function to the Intelligence Agency, costing 200 shields, giving 1 culture, available with Espionage and made obsolete by Nationalism. Industrialisation is now the prerequisite for the IA.

I wouldn't worry about playing out the game once the new Tournament starts unless everyone really wants to...

            Agreee 100% on this

3> Democracy has free unit support equal to that of the Republic (1/3/4). Corruption for Feudalism reduced to minimal. Secret Police HQ are available to Fascism insead of Communism.

            No opinion RE: Demo, to the other changes;

And this does what, exactly? If it is supposed to change anything with regards to SoZ, I think it woould be better to make the SoZ 350 shields (or 400shields)

6> Colosseums can be a Tourist Attraction.

            Meh, no opinion...

Hoow much would it cost to actually carry out espionagee, though. If it were cheap enough, No problem. Otherwise

Ivory is spread around just like Iron and Horses, instead of clumped like luxuries. Everybody should have a decent shot at building the SoZ. Tobacco replaces Ivory as a luxury to keep them at a total of 8.

'Steal Maps' has been increased tenfold in base cost to keep maps more valuable. [in fact, maybe Map Making should be made the prereq for Espionage...] Base costs for other missions have been left the same. I never used Espionage beyond stealing battle plans the first few times I played SP, so this is the one that sorely needs playtesting.

Better fix that 'o' key, Krill.

OK, so is would there be 3 players out there who could do some intensive turn sessions around evening time GMT (afternoon EST) over the next week or two? For the weekend, later at night/early morning GMT (evening/night EST) would work, too.

Shoot, anybody want to try to get in a few sessions with this scenario whenever?

[I say Krill, your o key seems to be a bit of a sticky wicket, wot?]

                          Tracker thread started.

I placed Krill before Moonbars based on primary playing time reported for the Tournament. Any chance everyone will be around Sunday evening GMT for a bunch of turns?

Given Krill's PC problems, if any other players are interested in this, I'd like to start another one to get things rolling ASAP...

I'll play... I'm still considering stock or mod for the AU game in planning. I realized that this mod would make a lot more sense than the AU Mod anyway, so I'd like to check it out. I'm around for the rest of the evening if we can bang out a bunch of turns.
