I'll probably have time to work on this this weekend and/or monday-tuesday (2 days off! Thank goodness for expiring annual vacation time ... ) I'll probably have to make a scenario setup for it, and it will take a bit of work.
What do you all think about;
- Having AI play whatever spots we don't?
- Having to download files (ie unit graphics etc.) to play as opposed to using stock units and/or unit pics?
- How many people should we wait until we have to play? I think we have 5 at the moment ...
I'm up for 6 players - as listed above. Paddy, do you think Chrisius would want to join in? Or Aqualung?<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Looks good
I do believe that Aqua met his game limit 4 - 5 games ago
Chrisius may be able to spare the time, we have been discussing the options for a new game these past weeks
I will be chatting with them both either tonight or over the weekend, and will invite them both to have a look over the thread
and Hi there Wib
it is good to see you here in Pem land
I hope you have a lot of fun, and feel encouraged to get involved in some more games soon

Heya, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing any form of a WWI PBEM.
Any form meaning:- Starting from 4000 bc, but with the major combatants from WWI as players, and locked / semilocked alliances (ie if not locked then starting point alliance, but you can change if you want, but discouraged, as it's the point of the PBEM )
- Starting from AD 1870, or 1890, or 1900, or 1910, with or without a fast city start (ie prebuilt cities), with or without the map of europe, with or without locked alliances
- A WWI Scenario, if there is a good one out there, again with or without locked alliances
I'm up for anything, tending towards playing at least in the industrial era, if not on a real map etc. I haven't had the time to look into scenarios, although at worst we could take the Napoleonic conquest and hack that into a WWI scenario, since it has roughly the same combatants and map ...
Any interest??Hi, I'm RAH and I'm a Benaholic.-rah

I prefer locked or semi-locked alliances ... perhaps semi-locked allowing people to change sides, but with restrictions - perhaps 20 turn locked alliance, or something like that ...<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Starting the game with a mutual protection pact sounds good. That way nations can pull out of the war or make peace with rivals should the going get too rough. If you can't set that up in the editor then we could all sign our respective MPPs on the first turn.Formerly known as Masuro.
The sun never sets on a PBEM game.

I don't remember if it can be set, but as you say we can set it in turn 1.
I understand wanting to have diplomatic options, but I do want it to be relatively close to the real thing - in the sense of the two sides being as they were and whatnot. I just want some security that we'll stick to the alliances at least for a little while<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
