I've never been in a PBEM game before, but I'd like to join in this one... that is, if you don't mind some fresh blood in your game.

Everyone has to start sometime so newbies are welcome. ^^ The important thing is how often you can post. Once a day? Or once every two days?

I should be able to play at least once a day, probably more on weekends. Although the upcoming Christmas holiday may prevent me from playing as often as normal, but shouldn't (hopefully) be too much of an issue.

Hmm, I'd like to try the Iroquois, if you don't mind this turning into a game of the old guard ...

Oh, and do you intend type of land (pangea/islands) and size of land (small/large) to be random as well? I suggest setting those down first, as they affect the game rather more than the others ... but I'll play either way

Yes, I would like random lands. And does anybody really want culture flipping? I'd prefer to turn it off.
Paddy, you're welcome to play. ^^ What civ would you like?

Hmm. I'd probably prefer culture flipping on, but it's not a big deal - happens so rarely in MP/PBEM games anyhow that it's a non-issue as far as i'm concerned, like cultural victories ...

It's a bit of a nuisance in another PBEM I play. One city keeps flipping to my ally even after I build improvements. When he gives the city back I have to start all over again.

Well, it's a strategic complication. But, like I said, it's not a big deal to me.

OTOH, it's generally against PBEM etiquette to gift cities to allies. But that's irrelevant to the case at hand
