Grandpa, shouldn't number of turns be 20? If you are the fourth player and the turn is 76, so first 3 players played 20 each. You can play 5 more turns.

Yes, this changing amount of years in civ is very confusing. Just from the year BC or AD I was never able to find out how many turns actually passed.

Emperor Mart takes over leadership of the great Byzantine Empire in the year 975 BC. He thanks his predecesor Emperor Grandpa Troll for great years of his rule.
The Domestic Advisor.
The Empire is in very good shape. Very strong economy is a great benefit. However, our people are not very eager to spent time on education and civilizational advancement. No matter how much gold is offered to wisemen, they yield only little improvement. I think that the previous policy of Emperor Grandpa Troll was the best, just giving the wisemen only little gold. So it shal be continued.
My Trade Advisor.
We currently have 5 cities connected into trade net with roads. 4 cities need the connection with the Palace. We have though a luxury! Our people can enjoy fine Ivory from near Smyrna. We also are not very efficient in trade with other empires. We should find the best way to connect with others in the future.
Military Advisor.
With all known empires apart from the Inca Empire we enjoy peace. We have recently undergone through a significant increase of Byzantine power. It has to be the effect of building up our military by the previous Emperor. That is very good, and during my reign I will attempt to keep up the pace. Incans are the most powerfull empire presently known to us. Also, my advisor had to report that south from Heraclea there are stationed Incan worriors. The defences in the city are not very strong and I fear the worst.
Foreign Advisor.
Our Embassy services are amazing!
Cultural advisor.
She says that our total culture of all Byzantine Empire is worth 142 courtous deeds .... ... whatever that might mean :
Oh Science Advisor.
One of that wisemen not that much interested in my gold... I wonder if they are actually ok. If gold does not motivate them, so I do not know what might...
He says, that he has some kind of something like an idea leading to a type of ordered writings, which might be.... and that he would probably find out it with his friends in about.... some very very distant future... like many generations from now.
Well, thank you all my advisors. Time to attend Empire matters in more direct way

Maybe Incans would sign a peace treaty? No luck, they even do not want to see us.
King Gilgamesh from Summeria is polite.
He gives us Mathematics and 44 gold for Horseback Riding.
President Lincoln politely wants some tremendous amount of gold next to our Horseback riding for Code of Laws. Not now...
Queen Isabela of Spain can give us 70 gold for mathematics. not now...
King Hammurabi of Babylon, only 17 gold for mathematics... never mind.
Queen Cleopatra from Egypt - 127 gold Total. I have to rethink it.
President Lincoln, we will take your Code of Laws for 11 gold/turn and 422 gold lump sum... Expensive.
So here we go again Queen Cleopatra. How about An Alliance versus the Inca and 92 gold for our Horseback Riding? Yes! Egypt declares war on Inca!!!
Queen Isabela agrees for the military Alliance versus the Inca and 73 gold for our Mathematics. Spain declares war on the Inca!!!
We now have two Empires aiding our effort.
Changed some productions to barracks. We need good soldiers.

975 BC
Inca worriors have stolen 14 gold from Heraclea and burned it to the ground
Inca are building Temple of Artemis.
Inca are building Pyramids
900 BC
There is a problem near Chalcedon. Our setler is escorted by a worrior unit and both are presently east from the city. There is Thracian horseman south east. Will it attack defenceless city or go for attack on the worrior?
Difficult decision. It is waste of time, but I decide to return both units to the city. They will get river defence bonus if horseman attacks.
We need to do something with that Thracian camp nearby

850 BC
The horseman likes to stay in the mountains. Meanwhile Chalcedon will receive reinforcements and it will be possible to send settlers again.
Caesarea have now population 5, so due to unrest there are only 4 workers. One of the releaved citizens now takes care of our research, so my dear wisemen - you get nothing at this point, and we have all 4 gold/turn more
Well, Inca are ready to talk. Sapa-Inca Pachacuti wants Writing for peace treaty. Nope, it's the other way around my dear friend, what you can offer for the peace? We apparently have disagreement here. Heraclea requires a lot of reparations. (I wonder if Egyptians and Spanish are very hard on them).
825 BC
Back to:
70% treasury
10% science
20% entertainment
And unfortunate news. Our regular worrior when being on mountains lost to the conscript horseman... settlers died in the fight. Not something I would expect...
775 BC
Sumeria and Inca signed military Alliance against us.
Iroquois Salamanca completes The Pyramids
730 BC
Spain and Inca sign peace treaty
And not that great news - Spanish build Great Library
