Another succession game, as you can see. Basically what we do:
Each player takes the empire for a given number of turns, runs it as he prefers and then gives over to the next player. During that time he is the sole leader of the civilization, so he can do whatever he wants to, and can't be stopped (except by Voodoo magic, although I don't know if anyone tried yet).
The game has started. Link to the game thread.
I was advised that possibly a huge map was too big, so I decided to start this one. I would like to make it a Large map, for the game to take longer to finish, but I'm cool with Standard for starters. To make it interesting, I'd like to set a higher difficulty level. I'll go along with Monarch if more players would prefer it, but the AU Mod stays, that I can tell you.
[Edit, after a PM from Grandpa Troll. Thanks for the advice]
The AU Mod doesn't require any file modifications or additional downloads to play.

Game setup (final):
Rulers of our civilization:
The players will take over the empire for a specific number of turns. During that time they are free to do anything they see fit (although playing to win should be the general notion ). The period will be 20 turns during Ancient Age, 15 turns during Medieval Age, 10 turns during Industrial Age, 5 turns during Modern age (The F8 screen shows which game turn it is.).
Players will have a week (starting from the last post of the previous ruler of the empire) to play their turns and write a short report about their reign. Naturally, the sooner you can play the save after receiving it, the better the game will flow. The report should include a screenie of the Demograpics and a view of our lands. After that the player will give the save to the next person in the turn order, preferably by e-mail. The save should be after the player's turns, which means the next player gets the game at the beginning of the first turn of his reign (i.e. you make turns 21 through 40, then hit "End Turn", do the diplomacy and then save the game for the next person on turn 41, without moving anything).
If a player doesn't make it within a week, his turns will be skipped and he will have to wait until it is his turn again. The turn order will not be changed, once it is set (after all 5 players have done their turns for the first time).
A story along the report (or instead of it ) would be very nice, but it will not be mandatory if you don't feel like it. However, excessive flooding with screenies will be more than welcome. In fact, others might request specific screenies and you should bring them on, if asked.
You will have no direct influence on how the other players run the civilization. Their actions might hurt your soul, believe me. So please, be prepared to watch weird things happen without being able to react. You may brag about it, but that's about all you can do. That's part of the fun here.
To finish this lengthy post, one very important note. Please, do not hesitate to enter the game only because you feel the difficulty level is too high or too low for you. Believe me, other players will be able to correct your "mistakes", or create problems for you to solve. Same goes for not knowing the AU Mod. It's not very different from stock rules, but still makes the game more fun, by enhancing the AI a bit. If you feel like trying a succession game, go ahead an sign up. Different abilities of players are what makes the game more interesting. I dare say, the more our personal playing styles differ, the better.
