I'm sure I'm not alone in hating to play the first 20 turns of a new game. Sometimes I wouldn't miss the whole Ancient Era.

I wish now that I had saved my dead games so I could reconstitute them now with new players.

I would like to collect your dead games and see if I can get a few restarted. I'll take anything for now, but please try to provide the admin code and any special mods.

I forgot I even wrote this thread. I'd like to start a game without having to go through all that slow stuff at the start.

I'd like to have at least 5 cities and contact with most of the other civs.

Great idea. I'm sure there are enough out there.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

Alliances is only on turn 4. I'm not trying to be picky, but I really had something like 2000BC in mind.

Why not just start a game up with cities and higher tech level? It's easy to do ... I could set you up with one, and i'm sure some of the other experienced game makers could as well

Just start a game thread, and give explicit directions (what era you want to start in, how many cities, how many units, what sort of map, how many civs, etc.) ... Give the game-starter a little time to make it, and you'll have your pre-set game

That, or play a conquest. They're pretty quick games, and there are more advanced ones (like the Roman ones, or Napoleonic, or even WWII if you want really advanced
