Heh... yeah, the PBEM forum is definately the most active anywhere on 'poly that I've seen (well other than the stinking abyss known as the "OTF").

Ok - #3 it is. I will ask the venerable SR to review the start.
Also - as I really like #1, and we do not want another Split Personality game, I propose:
Clash of the Schizoid Titans. Shizo for short.
Well, to be honest, I more than propose it, that is it!
Ok - now for civs. We need to pick choices for 1-4, with the picks going 1 thru 4 then 4 thru 1. In other words:
#1 gets to pick first and eighth
#2 gets to pick second and seventh
#3 gets to pick third and sixth
#4 gets to pick fourth and fifth.
Ms. Beta rolls the dice and ......
#1 is Rhoth
#2 is Beta
#3 is Paddy
#4 is Theseus.
OK - Rhoth - you get first pick.Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

1. Do we know if our civs will be neighboring?
2. Any limitations on the civs we pick?
3. Any interest in using the AU Mod?The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

1. We get random starts as in normal games
unless we have someone create a map for us and place our civs near each other
2. I do not think we have decided on any yet
3. AU Mod is not one of my favourites
but I am happy to go with the flow if the votes are there

Or if we get SR to set up the map - he can make sure all players hae their two civs either a) together or b) apart.
2. No.
3. I prefer stock - mainly because I have not played much with the mod.
Hmmm ... my choice. Back shortly.Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

Paddy - stick to the civ choice order.
You get the third and sixth picks. And I'm still thinking. And man, that hurts.

Those are brain waves in action. Actually, looks like a pretty straight line to me.

As the second choice, I will take the Sumerians.
OK - Paddy picks third, and has indicated the Mayans.
(Paddy - now do you see why it was so important that you wait.)

I would suggest the best play order for this game is:
Beta
Theseus
Rhoth
Paddy
Also, what I have noted from the other game like this that I am playing, and this will be old news to you Paddy, is that after playing your first civ, you simply hit 'continue game' and you go to your second civ, which therefore does not require a password, as far as I can determine. Do I have that correct oh wise one and player of many games?Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

Ok Theseus. You are up with the 4th and 5th picks. In some respects this may be the best choice combo - as you know for sure what civs are available for your second pick.Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.
