starting a new pbem game

game:

default rules + accel production
70% water + random everything else
no AIs, monarch level, two settler start

i'm interested, but i rather not join if we have 2 civs each because i've already got 2 such games going (but... they are fun )

edit: a fast game otherwise (one or more of: accellerated production, multiple starting settlers, good geography attributes) would be nice too

sabrewolf, what is good geography atributes? you mean starting the map in the editor and making sure we get nice start coniditions? and as for mutliple settlers, how many?

and isn't there anyone else out there who wants to play?

i think 4 should be enough, unless we can get a reliable fifth?

what does everyone think about world settings?

I'd go for normal size map, random everything else
Random barbarians
No AI civs

as for multiple settler starts, 2 would be the top I'd go for

and for geographical attribs, perhaps random world won't work to well for that

any ideas?

2 settlers are fine

i'm not sure normal world size is good if we're playing with just 4 players and no AI. turns take ages because lands are so big.

everything else random sounds good

As for settings, you must set the water percebtage, an 80% will give a possiblity of players not having any expansion room. Also I don't think you'd enjoy a 3 billion year old world unless you like lots of mountains and fewer cows and wheat.

I'll pick civ once the setting are finalized.

so we'll be 5 players? then normal world size should work out fine

so then:

standard wolrd size

water coverage 70%

barbarian, land mass, climate, temperature and age = random

are these good world settings? and no AI's, and monarch difficulty?

i've taken note of the agri civ choices, now just waiting on Rowick's choice

anyone have any preference to gaming time? I was thinking this kind of turn flow:

1- smellymummy (pacific)
2- rowick (australia)
3- gamecube (central)
4- swissy (central)

following that I think we should be able to keep up a turn a day
