The Russian Czar Aqualung the 71st, wishes to announce his arrival into 19th century Europe, with the declaration that he is determined to bring his corrupt, inefficient, unhappy and rebellious nation into prosperity (his own!), even if it be by the toe of his steel-capped boot....or more probably....at the tip of a Cossack sword!

None shall stand in his way. Not even Sid!

Paddy, am I right in assuming that this game is set at Sid level? Meaning corruption is horrible....which would probably explain why it is averaging about 50% in my empire.

If so, what is the effect on the AI civs? I guess the AI gets huge production and AI/AI trade bonuses? Do they start with more units than normal? Any other effects of Sid level we should be aware of?

The true effects of Sid level in PBEM games has not been fully realised, unfortunatly

It must be noted that Firaxis / Atari have very little information on this subject

Damn turn failed to save, and it took me ages to play, so you'll just have to wait til I get around to it again.

How come I had a few units begin in an AI city?

oh really, in which city ???

I had some errors with the editor, and had to reload Civ twice in the last 2 weeks trying to get this game going

Did you manage to get them out? Or did they just take over the city? Perhaps you could have right-clicked and abandoned the AI city

The city tile behaved basically as a non-city tile.

Which city? Good question. One of the western-most of Portugal, on the Atlantic. I'll check when I get around to having another go at that damned turn.

rickety and Masuro are at war and we haven't even had a turn yet!!!! I love it!

This game is gonna be fun!

PS: didn't Paddy screw around with Portugal, like give all their cities to Spain or England? That's obviously got something to do with it.

I hope this doesn't end up like one of my other games.....after about 5 turns, someone reported that new "phantom" towns started appearing in water tiles off the coast! And if he disbanded them, his capital would also disappear!

                                Good lord.
I thought Spain started with Portugal's cities in the multi-player version of the scenario and Prussia started with another country's cities as well as its own. To allow for the fact that there are only 8 civs allowed in multi-player.
