  • 1800AD Europe PBEM Setup Thread

    Hi there lads,

There are some great countries to play and by keeping the AI's hanging loose - well it can lead to some fun

some things / variants that I do like to see... :::

    - The AI Aggression levels are set at maximun

    - The game level set at SID

    - All Locked alliances removed (by doing this we can move on with the game once the french have been dealt with, and allows the french the opportunity to make alliances with ai countries, and also with some of us, hahaha... ah the joys of the game.)

    - Prussia starts with the Swedish cities

    - Britian (gives over the Portuguese lands and Gibraltar)

    - Spain (with the Portuguese lands and Gibraltar)

    - Prussia (if one of us, then with the swedish lands, if AI, leave as 2 seperate countries, more diplomacy etc)

    Napoleonic Civ Game Countries

Ricketyclik - what Civ would you like? (Rickety, you may want to have a good look at England, quite a powerhouse)

    Masuro - Spain

    Aqualung - Russia

    Paddy - Prussia

    Countries still available

France - indeed one of us could play France...

    England - a worthy nation

Prussia - with Sweden, they build into a strong nation

Turkey - quiet and very dangerous

    Game Name

Then we just need a good game name...

    The Slaughter House
    Grand Plans
The Lights Go Out In Europe
    Frog Stomp
    Cougar Challenge
    The Tomb of Europe

    any suggestions

I like 'Frog Stomp' but it will probably offend . . . .
    Formerly known as Masuro.

Frog Stomp is an excellent name. No-one has any right to claim offence, as it is indeed the name of the debut album of one of Australia's more recent great internationally recognised bands, Silverchair!

In any case, I don't see why an innocuous name such as this that simply refers to treading on a common amphibious animal, should cause offence to anyone except Greenpeace

      Let the Frog Stomp begin!

If you need another player, I'd gladly play Prussia, or any other civ. Even France.

Rereading that it looks like you have prussia both as taken by you Paddy and as open. If it's taken by you, then i'd take England or France.

              Hi Snoopy

Please accept my apologies, but at this time we are keeping this as for the 4 of us. We are all in the same latitudes, thus almost in the same time zone. This has allowed us to get some great turns played on our Iron Civer Tournament game.

Please know that your post is duely noted and I am sure to be the topic ofsome conversation between the 4 of us

As to what nation I will play, well that really does depend on the Swedish territories

England for me then I guess.

It's the longitudes we have in common, not the latitudes, or is it I who requires the vicissitude?

It is clearly the longitudes, but I feel we can give our dwunk scotsman some latitude.....and possibly some attitude too

I've never played this scenario MP. Is there still that bug where on the first turn you can sell MPP's to the AI and buy all their cities and win on the first turn via domination? If so, there would be a great advantage to the first player, who can do deals with all the AI civs and take all their cash on turn 1, if not actually win.

Paddy, I can see why Prussia with the Swedish lands is so attractive. you can almost immediately annex the Danish lands which you surround, and destroy the Netherlands, gaining 5 pretty nice cities quite quickly
